Aera, described accurately, with the files attached.

The fact sheet, the descriptions we file everywhere else, and 33 assets you can use without asking. The last section lists the claims about Aera that are wrong, so a draft does not have to come back to us.

Fact sheet

What it is
Aera is an agentic Chromium browser. Describe a recurring job once and it runs on a schedule in your own accounts, on your machine, with the browser closed.
Who it is for
People whose week contains repeated browser work inside logged-in websites. The morning numbers, the portal entries, the competitor sweeps. Work too small or too fragile to automate with code.
How it works
The agent lives inside a real Chromium browser on your machine and drives the sessions you are already signed into. A separate scheduler service starts jobs on time after you close the browser.
Platforms
Windows, macOS, Linux.
Price
Free with a local model you host. Pro is $20 per month or $220 per year. Ultra is $200 per month or $2,200 per year.
Company
Quixet LLC, a Texas company formed 2021-08-06, wholly owned by Andrew Rivers. The business runs back to 2020 through a predecessor, Durort LLC of Virginia, since closed.
Founder
Andrew Rivers, sole founder.
Public milestone
#3 Product of the Day on Product Hunt, 2026-03-28.

Three things to say about it

Unattended

Describe a recurring job once. A separate scheduler service runs it on your schedule, after you close the browser.

Trustworthy

Your browsing data stays on your device. AI requests go to the provider you pick. Every run leaves a step-by-step log you can read afterwards.

Capable

Files, Python, MCP connectors, memory, and a marketplace of installable skills.

Approved descriptions

We file these exact strings with every directory. Quote them and Aera reads the same here as it does everywhere a reader meets it next.

Tagline56 characters

The browser that works while you sleep, on your machine.

Short description156 characters

Aera is an agentic Chromium browser. Describe a recurring job once and it runs on a schedule in your own accounts, on your machine, with the browser closed.

Long description497 characters

Aera is an agentic Chromium browser for the work that keeps coming back: the morning numbers, the portal entries, the competitor sweep. Describe the job once in plain language, and Aera does it on your machine, in accounts you are already signed into. A separate scheduler service runs it on your schedule, even after you close the browser, and every run leaves a step-by-step log. Your browsing data stays on your device. AI requests go to the provider you pick. Free with a local model you host.

Using the mark

  • Near-black mark on light backgrounds, white mark on dark. Never gray on gray.
  • Leave clear space around the mark of at least the height of the mark.
  • Do not rotate, recolor, outline, add a glow or a shadow, or lay the mark over a photograph.
  • The name is Aera, sentence case. Never AERA.

Founder

Andrew Rivers, founder of Aera

Andrew Rivers built Aera alone: a fork of Chromium with an agent runtime and a scheduler compiled into the browser itself, shipping on Windows, macOS and Linux. He is Aera's founder and its only full-time person, and he works from North Texas. He built Aera in his spare time and now works on it full time.

Two things to get right

We would rather correct a draft before you publish it than after, and these are the two that get miswritten most.

Your data is local. The model is not.

Your browsing data, chats, tasks and run logs are files on your device, and we run no server that receives them. Model requests are a separate path: they go to a named provider you choose, or to a local model you host. Those two halves get merged into one claim often, and the merged version is not one we make.

Aera does not buy things.

No card, no wallet, no checkout, and no autonomous purchasing of any kind. That is a deliberate absence rather than a release we have not reached yet.
